Why Go Into Affiliate Marketing - 3 Compelling Reasons

Most people who have heard of affiliate marketing are aware of some the reasons to consider going into affiliate marketing.  Being able to get started in a business of your own with low or in some cases no start up costs can be very appealing.

Add to this, the fact that no sales experience is required because most merchants provide
training for their affiliates, and there are no fees or licenses required to get started and there are minimal risks with a high income potential are more than enough reasons to seriously consider affiliate marketing.

You can get started quickly in affiliate marketing without a website.  All you need is an affiliate link which will allow you to drive traffic directly to the merchant's website and get paid a commission every time someone purchases a product.

This will save you the time and process of having to create your own website, get a domain name, get a hosting account, get an autoresponder and several other things that will be required.  But don't get me wrong, I'm not against you having a website.

In fact I recommend that you get your own website a little later after you've made some money.  In many cases, the merchant will provide you with a ready made website at no cost to you or you can use some of the free platforms such as blogger or squidoo.  The point is, you can get started quickly without your own website.

2.  No Product Required

You don't need to have your own product.  This will save you countless hours, days, weeks and even months of time trying to come up with your own product which may or may not be something that people will buy.

The cost to develop and produce a new product is prohibitive for almost anyone who wants to start a home-based business. With affiliate programs, production costs aren't an issue. The product has been developed and proven - all at the expense of the merchant.

All you have to do is concentrate on driving traffic to the merchant's website and since there are thousands of affiliate programs selling every product under the sun. That makes it easy to find products related to whatever niche you want to work in.

3.  No Merchant Headaches

This is probably the most compelling reason of them all.  As an affiliate marketer you don't have to worry or be concerned about any of the typical employer headaches.

As an affiliate, there are no employees to deal with or to pay, no merchant accounts that can be costly and expensive to set up, no payment processing or chargebacks, no inventory to maintain, no order processing, no shipping and most of all no customer service.

I could go on and on, the list of merchant headaches is endless.  You don't need to be concerned about any of these to get started in affiliate marketing and your earning potential is unlimited.
